[edit] Summary
Resurrection of Pain by The Green Herring 4/2/2008 (Requires Doom II.)
This is a quick demonstration .WAD made in a couple of minutes intended to show that a Pain Elemental can be resurrected by an Arch-Vile, despite normally not leaving a body behind when he dies, if he is crushed while in the middle of his death animation. Because of the circumstances under which it happens, it also doubles as a demonstration of the ghost monster phenomenon. To see the effect, step on the button marked "1" to activate the crusher and wait until the Pain Elemental dies. After this, wait till the crusher is near the ceiling, and step on the button marked "2" to stop the crusher. Finally, step on the button marked "3" to release the Arch-Vile and let him get to the Pain Elemental. He will resurrect the Pain Elemental, who will then float through the wall into the room you're in. (If he is not awake when he is resurrected, wake him up by firing a pistol shot.)
Created with Doom Builder version 1.68 build 385.
