glDoom (created and maintained by Bruce Lewis), based on WinDoom, was the first source port to add OpenGL support to Doom. Before beta testing could be completed and the source code released publicly, the source was lost to a hard drive issue.

On April 4th, 2010 Bruce Lewis uploaded the source code to glDoom, which he had recovered from a hard drive he had given to a friend. This version has been updated to compile on Visual C++ 2008 and has some other minor changes.
