Kate Stone
From Doom Wiki
Kate Stone, infrequently known as SnowKate709 (who comes under a surprising number of unusual aliases on IRC and elsewhere, changing between them nearly constantly for reasons known only to herself), is a mapper and modder that has come into the community primarily through the discovery of the ZDoom source port in the end of 2002. Ever since, she's been a frequent forum user there, and has programmed a few contributions to the port, the most prominent of these is A_LookEx, a modification to the sight check code that allows customized behavior for monsters like maximum and minimum sight distances, a maximum hearing distance, a custom alert state, and the ability to make monsters blind or completely deaf (not to be confused with the AMBUSH level flag behavior, which is different).
She has also helped out with multiplayer testing (and scripting for E1M9) of Knee-Deep in ZDoom, long before it's ultimately delayed release.
Ever since an undisclosed event in early 2004, she has been creating her own fictional multiverse which is known simply as the Dimension LXXII (72), a common theme for many unfinished or unreleased Doom maps, and ultimately an unfinished, very RPG-like, very non-linear partial conversion that expresses the storyline of the events that occurred with you controlling the fate of each of the characters (some of which are based on members or former members of the Doom Community, like herself) and ultimately the entire Dimension itself, which you can choose to either bring harmony to, or destroy altogether. She also has a tendency to take other game characters (for example monsters from Doom or characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog series) and inject them into the multiverse at random, improvising entirely new and unique stories and profiles for them as she does so.
She excels at programming in interpreted, very high-level languages like Ruby and Python, and frequently experiments with programming using coroutines and context switching.
