MAP03: Gettin' Gas is the third map of Demonfear. It was designed by Adam Windsor and is notable for using a teleporter to create a fake-3D two-story building. It is the first map to include Chaingunners and Lost Souls. At each difficulty level it introduces a new enemy: the Hell Knight on ITYTD and HNTR, the Baron of Hell on HMP, and the Revenant and Arch-Vile on UV or NM.
According to the Demonfear level info pack:
- The Colonel may have kept his car in good running order, but he wasn't too good at keeping it filled
with fuel. You're out of fuel, forced to walk half a mile back up the road to a deserted fuel station ... or maybe it isn't deserted at all.
- Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.
