MAP08: Realm is the eighth map of The Plutonia Experiment. It uses the music track "The Demons From Adrian's Pen", from Doom.

Walkthrough[]

Facing off the water, drop yourself on it and it will go down. There is a door, open it and go to the end where you see a switch with two lifts near it. The switch will lower them (revealing 2 Barons of hell on UV, a Baron and a Hell knight on HMP and 2 chaingunners on ITYTD or HNTR). After getting up go through the circular way to the end and go down the stairs to the water. On the right there is a dark tunnel which leads to a door, go through it and open the door, press the switch and the door with blue lights will open.

Get back and go through the opened door, up the stairs and press the switch. At the opposite side of the previous tunnel a floor will go down revealing Revenants, after dealing with them go through that new tunnel after you find stairs that leads to deep underground. You will find 3 switches, anyone will lower 3 floors as lifts, go through them and on the right there is another tunnel that leads you to an area with 2 lifts on the sides. Go to anyone, after you get up the blue key is waiting for you there, but get ready for spawning chaingunners!

After taking the blue key go back down and open the blue keyed door. In the next area there is a series of wooden floors, jump over them and click the switch at the end. Next the lift on the left is now accessible, get on it and open the door in front of you, you are back at the tunnel.

Get out of it and get back to the middle area between the two tunnels, go back up the stairs and click the blue keyed switch, now the doors near the exit are opened, head over there and step on the exit.

Secrets[]

  1. After lowering the waterfall at the north end of the map, follow the path to the right twice until you reach a very long staircase leading down. Before descending it, turn around and shoot the recessed wall. It will open, revealing a cache of goodies.

Bugs[]

  1. If one uses a source port that allows jumping, doing so as soon as the level begins allows the player to jump through the ceiling, revealing a Hall of mirrors effect.
