The Core is the sixteenth map of Speed of Doom. It was designed by Darkwave0000 and uses Getaway, an original MIDI by Stuart Rynn. The par time is unknown.
Other points of interest
- In the first room with the central rail with bonuses, check the pillar in front of the second lift, it reveals a switch that opens a secret area behind. Follow the path, grab the rocket launcher.
- It’s not a secret, but the left door in the start lift can be opened when you have the six keys. There is a megasphere here.

Routes and tricks
In the core arena, if the player refrains from shooting until absolute necessary the monster waves will not teleport in. This makes the core considerably less hazardous.
