Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

This is the final level of Playstation Doom II and, by extension, the whole game.

You start in a room similar to Doom II's "Icon of Sin" level. Make sure you walk all around the room as its darkness may prevent you from seeing the remaining equipment.

The teleporter takes you to a large room. There are dozens of Barons of Hell in the room. There's a large pillar in the middle with ammo and some surrounding pillars have a Soul Sphere and some extra ammo. The pillars raise and lower slowly, providing access to items but also temporarily removing cover.

Each side of the room has a raised platform containing more ammunition and a teleporter which takes you to the other side of the room.

The Barons are easily defeated due to their slow speed, avoidable attacks and the fact that they are clustered together in the center. Circling them and repeatedly launching missiles and BFG blasts will quickly defeat them.

After you kill all the barons, two corners of the room will lower, each revealing a Spider Mastermind. Get the attention of one without firing your weapons, then straferun to the other Spider Mastermind and make them infight. If you have a BFG, you can easily kill the remaining one. After both lie dead, a door will open with a hallway that leads to the exit teleporter and the end of Doom II.

This is the only map in Playstation Doom II with walls that lower on the death of all Barons in the map, similar to Doom's "Phobos Anomaly" (map 8).

Trivia[]

  • As this is the last level of the game, this is the only other time the player will come across intermission text spoken by a deep, ominous voice-over. The text itself is completely new, not at all coming from an earlier version of Doom, stating that "by turning the evil of the horrors of Hell in upon itself", the player has destroyed the power of the demons, stopping their invasion cold. The voice-over then claims, sardonically, that the player can "retire to a lifetime of frivolity" and congratulates the player before the cast of monsters begins.
