ReMooD
From Doom Wiki
ReMooD is a source port based off Doom Legacy. ReMooD was started by GhostlyDeath December 7, 2006 and was based off the Linux Doom 1.10 source code under the Doom License. GhostlyDeath really wanted to make a Doom Legacy port but was afraid of people who would take it, change its name and name it for themselves, but he was finally convinced when he asked Fraggle if he could add FraggleScript support to which Fraggle said only if it's under the GNU GPL. The SourceForge was registered on December 12, 2006 which marked the beginning of the source port. The first open version of ReMooD was mostly bug fixes and additional features. After that there were multiple switches of code bases, but has switched back to Doom Legacy and is remaining there. The latest version of ReMooD is 0.8a "Chicken Noodle Soup" which was released on February 28, 2009. The next version to be released is 0.8c "Steak and Eggs".

[edit] Coding and Code Changes
The source code is based off Doom Legacy. ReMooD aims to rewrite Legacy so it is portable and is easy to compile on every system. The Legacy codebase has already been ported to 64-bit Systems, all versions of ReMooD work on 64-bit systems.
- Source code compiles on 64-bit Linux and Windows.
- The Windows version no longer uses FMOD, it now uses SDL like its Linux counterpart.
