[IANAL]   If it was published by Velocity, then it is still owned by Velocity, because copyrights are quite long-lived nowadays (at least 70 years for people and 95 years for companies).  Of course, 11 years was a while ago in gaming terms, and Velocity may have gone out of business, in which case their assets may have been acquired by somebody else.  How you would investigate that I don't know; try digging around in the archives of GNU mailing lists (FreeDevelopers.net maybe), where many programmers have undoubtedly asked analogous questions.    Ryan W 15:25, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

It was only published by Velocity, it was developed by Rogue Entertainment. They have since gone out of business. Fraggle 18:30, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
