The Original Strife: Veteran Edition is a commercial source port released on December 12, 2014 (through Steam) by Night Dive Studios. It allows Strife to be played on modern computers (running Windows, MacOS or Linux) and adds updated features such as better 3D rendering, dynamic lighting and achievements. It also adds a Blue Chalice (the original is now the Red Chalice), for use in the deathmatch "Capture the Chalice" mode, and three Talismans which, if all three are found, score one of the achievements.
Also added is a secret level and three deathmatch levels. The gameplay is almost identical to that of the original, and existing walkthroughs can be used as guides.
