Weredragon

Weredragons are medium-level monsters from Heretic. These monsters are big, half-beast, half-dragon. Their appearance can be deceiving; they are somewhat hard to see in the cave areas on the second episode and in dark rooms in other episodes. Weredragons attack the player by spitting out dangerous fireballs which inflict up to 32 points of damage. They make their first appearance on E2M1, The Crater. When killed, Weredragons sometimes drop Ethereal Arrows giving double the ammo as normal arrow items. They possess 220 Hit Points each. Weredragons, like the player and the gargoyle, can be gibbed if taking a significant damage from other monsters or the player. Weredragons do not have a melee attack.

Some source ports refer to the Weredragon as "Beast".
